Description
Banff and Jasper National park in Alberta Canada see millions of tourists every year. Most all of them make it a point to stop at Lake Louise as well as Moraine and Peyto lakes respectively. There are many more tourist attractions that include Bow Lake and river, Morants Curve, Vermillion Lakes, Lake Minnewanka, Two Jack Lake, Johnson Lake, Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca falls and more than a few hot springs to name just a few.
There are also many hikes including Lake Agnes teahouse and Little beehive among others. To see images from most all of these locations please check out my entire Banff collection which includes black and white images as well as color.
This particular shot is of Moraine Lake and this view was once used on the canadian $20 bill which has led to it being referred to as $20 view. The location also goes by the name “Valley of the Ten Peaks” because all the peaks measure over ten thousand feet above sea level.
