Description
Detroit is often referred to as the Motor City and is also well known in the music world as Motown. The Cityscape and over all skyline is best seen from Windsor on the Canadian side. The largest building belongs to the GM Renaissance center and is situated on the river bank.
Detroit also is home to famous World Heavy Weight Champion Joe Louis and he is recognized there with the Joe Louis monument which is basically a huge fist. The other main statue in Detroit is the Spirit of Detroit.
Detroit is home to The Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings and Lions who play at Ford Field.
If this photo is of interest to you please check out my entire Detroit gallery for a wide variety of day, night, color and black and white images that include panoramic views and are made up of both City Skyline and sports images!
