Description
Lake Louise is found in Banff National Park which is in Alberta Canada. Lake Louise sees about 4 to 5 thousand visitors per day in peak season. If you visit Lake Louise make it a point to visit nearby Moraine Lake which is more beautiful in my opinion.
Moraine has a much smaller parking area and once its full they close the road to Moraine until the lot empties out a little. So if you go it makes sense to either go by 8:00 am or not until 6pm during peak season.
For those who can afford it there are places to stay at both Moraine and Louise which includes the Fairmont Chateau at Louise and the Moraine Lake Lodge. Both are pricey $$$ but the ability to be the first to see the early morning view or to be among a select few to see the Moon overlooking these beautiful locations is definitely worth splurging!
